LVDT stands for Linear Variable Differential Transformer. We can simply call Differential Transformer. LVDT is an Electro-Mechanical Sensor. LVDT is used to convert the mechanical motion into electrical signals/ Electric Current. But what special about the LVDT is that It is used to convert the Rectilinear motion into electric signals.
